Readers may be interested to know what comes next after The Suggested Assassin. The fourth book in The Sir Anthony Standen Adventures is Called to Account. The manuscript is currently with my editor, Debz Hobbs-Wyatt. We shall have to wait and see what corrections and suggestions she has to make. I have to confess that I made some schoolboy errors in the publication of the first three books. That is to say that I did diddly-squat in the way of a launch. At least I now have a website (hope you like it, do let me know). I have engaged a book publicist, Brian Feinblum, in New York, to help me with generating some hype around the launch of Called to Account. With the help of my audiobook producer Simon de Deney, I hope to publish in ebook, paperback and audiobook on the same day. I shall discuss details with Brian, but I’m hoping that will be around mid to late November.

The other thing that I failed to do with the first three books was recruit an ARC review team. What’s an ARC team, I hear you ask. ARC stand for Advance Review Copy. The idea is that an ARC reader will read the finished manuscript and write a review to post on Amazon and, perhaps, Goodreads soon after the book is published. I understand that there is a sort of grace period on Amazon, a week or so after publication, where your book gets more attention than it does later. Therefore the earlier you can get some good reviews on your book, the better. I shall try and recruit ARC readers on the relevant Facebook groups as soon as I have the final manuscript. If you fancy being an ARC reader, please contact me.
