I’m sorry that I haven’t posted for a few days, I’ve been otherwise engaged, listening to the audio files for Called to Account. I emailed my producer, Simon de Deney, a few minor corrections. Meanwhile, this morning, I listened to his corrections of The Suggested Assassin. They were great, so I approved the audiobook. ACX will make their own checks before it goes live. I anticipate having all four books of the Sir Anthony Standen Adventures available well in time for Christmas.
I have been engaged in other exciting ways too. If you’re in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, or Palm Springs tomorrow (Wednesday 23rd November) you can catch my interview on KCAA 106.5 FM at 10:55 A.M. They will stream it afterwards. I’ll post the website for streaming when it goes live. It was my first radio interview, so I’m a bit worried about how it went. The host, Alan Warren, seemed to think it was OK. Alan hosts House of Mystery Radio on NBC. He booked a four hour slot on Zoom, but we completed the interview in only one hour.
Claire and I went to a Strictly Come Dancing show a few years ago. George Ezra performed Shotgun. We’d been told to expect many takes, but he did it in one. The warm-up guy called him “one-take Ezra”. Am I one-take West? Probably not! I feel I should have asked if I could try again with some of my answers. On the other hand, it will sound authentic. It’s effectively a live interview.
I recently published all four paperbacks on Ingram Spark. I’ve posted about them before. They will make my books available to physical bookstores like Waterstones and Barnes and Noble. At a more local level, I have received my order of paperbacks, so I’m all set for my stall at our village Christmas Fayre, on Saturday 3rd December.
I’ll start reading the Marvick biography of Louis XIII again tomorrow. We have our dancing lesson this afternoon. I want to read a few good books before Christmas, then I’ll start writing book 5.
