Launch of my latest book, Called to Account, is feeling real now. Further to yesterday’s post KDP Bookshelf, today has gone a lot better. I’ve managed to create the EPUB file, and have created a campaign on BookSprout. If you’re interested in being an ARC reviewer, click here. I’ve also sent the manuscript off to Historical Fiction Company and LoveReading for editorial reviews, fingers crossed for good reviews. The reviews should be done early in October so I’ve tipped off my awesome cover designer, Jacqueline. She will add the editorial review snippets to the back page of the paperback cover.

Brian says that Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the best days to publish on. So I’ve gone for Tuesday 8th November. That tied in with a blog I’d just read. Super Tuesday is the traditional launch day for books and films, apparently. I guess that means the Kindle ebook will be available for pre-order from next week. I’ll have to check that. I wonder if I can use the pre-order link to get Tom, who looks after my website, to update my bookshelf here?

I guess the next thing is to produce a cast list for Called to Account. Simon de Deney should be working on the audiobooks now, starting with book 1, The Spy who Sank the Armada. It’s all feeling quite exciting now. I’m looking forward to the book launch with some trepidation. Apart from editorial reviews for books 1 and 2, and telling my Facebook friends, twitter followers and my golfing friends on WhatsApp that I’d published my books, I didn’t really do a launch at all.

Hopefully, Brian will coach me to successfully perform on the radio and podcast interviews he’s able to line up. Since he’s based in New York, I hope I’m not interviewed at 3 o’clock in the morning.
