My book publicist insisted that I have a website and that I post something every day. Whenever I have something relevant to my books, I will obviously post about that. I have been running an on this day series because as a writer of historical crime fiction I have an interest in history. However I am finding it increasingly difficult to find on this day events that I have not already covered. So as words are the tools of my trade I will switch to a word of the day blog.
I am reading a fabulous book by Alexander Tulloch called It’s All Greek, published by Bodleian Library Publishing. Tulloch looks at words derived from Greek, and the contortions that the words take before arriving at the meanings we have now are fascinating. I’m not yet sure how I’ll chose my word of the day, but I’m pretty unlikely to run out of new words to look at.
