Today seems to be a day of waiting. I picked up my new phone yesterday and now I’m waiting for it to restore all the data from the cloud. You can probably tell from the photo why I needed a new phone. I made the mistake of having the old one in my back pocket, and then sitting down.
I’m waiting to hear from my publicist when I’ll be doing radio and podcast interviews concerning the launch of the new book, Called to Account. I’m waiting for the paperback cover from Jacqueline, my cover designer. Then I can complete the preparations for publication.
There is some progress, the audiobook for Fire and Earth is complete and approved. So now I’m waiting for that to appear on ACX, Audible, Amazon and iTunes. Then I’ll post on Facebook and Twitter about it.
I’m waiting for the review of Called to Account from the Historical Fiction Company. They wrote a great review of The Spy who Sank the Armada, so I’m hoping for a great review of Called to Account too.
I’ve sent Simon, my audiobook narrator, the manuscript and cast list for The Suggested Assassin, so hopefully all four books will be available as audiobooks on Called to Account publication day, 8th November. I suppose I could be plotting the fifth book, but I think I’ll get the launch out of the way first. When you’re waiting, you’re expecting things to happen. Anticipated distractions aren’t really what you need when you’re in writing mode. Still 1.4GB left to restore. Ho hum! I know, I carry on reading The Craft. It’s a great book. At least I can then get on with writing a review of it for Readers Club.
That’s another thing. I’m still waiting for someone to suggest a book they like. I didn’t intend that all the books on Readers Club are books I like. I wanted to get a bit of variety. Please let me know about your favourite book and what you like about it using the Suggest button.
